• Our apprenticeship scheme is expanding and we are looking for new people to work for us as assessors.
  • We are a work-based learning provider delivering apprenticeships for employers in the creative, digital media, communications, advertising, marketing and PR sectors, working with some of the leading employers in these fields (M&C Saatchi, DDB, Ogilvy, ITN, BskyB and Thomson Reuters to name just a few) as well as cutting edge start-ups and leading trade bodies such as the IPA and PRCA.
  • At any one time Creative Process will be working with over 200 apprentices – all working towards nationally recognised qualifications in Creative & Digital Media, Marketing or PR at level 3 or 4.
  • Our assessors play a key role in the delivery of these apprenticeships, typically visiting an apprentice in their place of work 12 times (once a month) and using a variety of methods to assess their competence as they develop skills and knowledge in their new role.
  • We only recruit assessors who have professional competence in the area they are assessing, which typically will have been gained through working in that industry for at least five years, but, in addition to this, assessors are required to hold a qualification in assessing.
  • As there are not many people with both the professional competence and the qualification in the sectors we work in, Creative Process offers assessment training to suitable individuals.


Digital Marketing and Social Media (level 3) – comprises of a Diploma and a Certificate CURRENTLY RECRUITING

  • Good all-round experience of working in Marketing (bearing in mind most employers we work with are digital agencies of some sort).
  • Experience gained either as a freelancer, working for a large agency or through starting your own company.
  • Practical experience of working in the sector.
  • Knowledge of the skills a young person requires to work effectively in the industry.
  • A broad view of the industry both in its current form and an informed interest in how it is developing.

Advertising and Marketing Communications (level 4) – combined knowledge and competence diploma

  • A new qualification offering to develop apprentices working in both advertising and digital agencies.
  • Can cover everything from the theory of marketing communications, to the production of creative output, to delivery of projects, to the management and delivery of campaigns through buying space on digital channels.
  • Assessors may not be able to cover the full range of units offered, in which case we can split the delivery between two or more assessors.
  • Potential assessors can have an advertising agency background, a marketing agency background, a freelance creative background, project management experience or more specialist digital skills.

Web (level 3, within a Creative & Digital Media apprenticeship framework) CURRENTLY RECRUITING

  • A large number of the apprentices we train are working with some aspect of web design, social media or other form of internet-based digital communication.
  • The level 3 qualification offers a grounding in the principles of designing for the web and as such we are looking for assessors who have specialist knowledge of one of the key areas of web design as well as a broad knowledge of how particularly companies are using the web to reach the public.
  • Current assessors’ backgrounds range from being freelance web designers, to consultants, to those who have worked in agencies, to those who have started their own companies.
  • Making a website is only a small part of the apprenticeship so those with all sorts of industry experience can work usefully with these apprentices where skills such as project management and design can be as important as HTML or CSS.

Creative (most learners currently specialising in Cultural and Heritage Venue Operations)

  • The Creative apprenticeship pathway covers many job roles within the Creative sector – venues, theatres, recording studios, community arts venues and cinemas.
  • Assessors come from a wide variety of backgrounds and bring varying professional experiences to the programme, ranging from working in different cultural and creative venues, to organising festivals, to running arts organisations.
  • We are looking for people who have come from any of these backgrounds, but have good experience of managing or producing some sort of creative or cultural product.
  • We are also currently developing a programme in partnership with a large cinema chain where apprentices will be training not only in running cinemas but also running and developing other events that can use the building’s facilities so practitioners with experience in those areas will be especially welcome.
